Diploma in Automation Technology is designed to prepare students to meet the demand in Industrial Plants for maintenance, improvements, enhancement and creation of machineries used. On completion of the program you will be able to troubleshoot, modify the process, improve the operator interface, optimizing productivity, enhancing safety features and add new process using PLCs, HMIs and VFDs of control system in industrial machineries.
You will learn installing, configuring, wiring and programming PLC, HMI and VFD and using supporting devices such as switches, sensors and other small supporting devices. As a student of this program students will have hands on experience of real world problems in our labs.
Graduates of this program would be able to find employment as automation technicians and process control equipment mechanics in processing, power generation, mining, petrochemical & natural gas, Industrial Instrumentation and other manufacturing establishments.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent.
If you are above 18 years of age and do not have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma you have to successfully complete an Wonderlic SLE with a minimum score of 20.

Through the diploma in Automation program, the student will gain knowledge to build a rewarding career in the automation field. This diploma program will focus on automated systems, which are at the heart of virtually all advanced manufacturing and other industry sectors. This program’s courses will be comprehensive and emphasize the basic technology used in building and operating automated industrial systems: programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Servo motors with Drive controllers, and HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming to control. Etc. The program focusses on programming for new machines, maintenance and modifying the existing machines. Along the way, the student will acquire a thorough understanding of theory, along with practical, hands-on laboratory experience. Prior knowledge of Electrical systems is an added advantage to the students.
