Food service personnel love the company of engaging hands-on in a bustling, competitive atmosphere and the obligation to ensure their clients’ nutritional well-being. Your training program will encompass a kitchen operation in a healthcare setting and specialized food preparation procedures.
Each term, registration in a program is done course by course, but this may change during the year. This certificate program will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to work efficiently in institutional food preparation environments, such as hospitals or long-term care homes. Students will progress through the academic section of the program through food preparation and service, nutrition, and occupational hygienic practices.
This is an open entry qualification, and the only guidance is that candidates possess Evidence of English language Proficiency or other evidence of competence in English at this level.
