About the program

Diploma Program in Food Service Worker is designed to meet the needs of modern-day living. You will receive training in carrying out basic food service procedures as per the established legislation and standards of quality.

The program is aimed at familiarizing you with different types of meal service and preparing you to excel as a Food Service Worker in any institutional setting. Practical exercises and hands-on projects impart skills to play the role of food service workers, dietary aides, and food service helpers in service organizations.

Career Path

Graduates of this program would be able to find employment in dietary departments of long-term care homes, hospitals, special care homes, educational facilities, the hospitality industry, and many other institutions as full-time, part-time, or casual employees.

Admission Requirement

You must successfully complete the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam with a minimum score of 14.

Submission of vulnerable persons police check and medical certificate, free of communicable disease with up-to-date immunization status, is required.

About the Wonderlic Test:

8-minute test with 30 questions.

Students will receive a link to complete the test.

Students must achieve a minimum score of 14 for Fundamental Diploma, and a score of 16 for Data Analytics Diploma. For all other programs, students must achieve a minimum score of 15.

Computer Use Expectation:

In order to successfully progress through your studies at Beta College of Business & Technology, it is recommended that you have access to a personal computer or laptop. For additional information, please refer to the program-specific admission page.

English Proficiency Requirement

Native English Applicants:

English proficiency tests are not required.

Non-Native English Applicants:

IELTS Academic – minimum 6.0 or TOEFL Internet – minimum 79.
